Here are our betting picks and suggestions for Round 10 of the EuroLeague Regular Season:
Maccabi Tel Aviv – Zalgiris Kaunas
Maccabi Tel Aviv and Zalgiris are fighting for a spot in the top eight and they will probably be among the candidates for the eight place until the last rounds. Maccabi transforms for the better in Israel, while Zalgiris have been showing an excellent balance in their performances in their games at home and away. Sarunas Jasikevicius’s team can keep up in the score and play for the win until the end. The handicap of +4,5 for the Lithuanians (at 1,75) can make us some money.
Baskonia – Fenerbahce
After changing their coach Baskonia have been excellent, having reversed the situation both in the EuroLeague as well as in the domestic league. The payoffs that make them outsiders on their home court don’t do them justice and it’s worth taking a risk by including a home win (at 1,88) in our bets. The game is going to be a derby and will most likely be decided in the details, with Pedro Martinez’s team having good chances of turning a profit.
Real Madrid – Crvena Zvezda
Real have suffered several defeats lately in the EuroLeague because of the many absences due to injuries, which have thrown them off rhythm. Against Crvena Zvezda, they have the chance to come up with a mini-outbreak and the handicap of -6,5 (1,75) at halftime is a good choice. These kinds of halftime bets hide many dangers, but Laso’s team can come through.
Khimki Moscow – Bamberg
For an away game, Bamberg’s 75,5 points (1,75) seem too many. Khimki have suffered consecutive defeats in the EuroLeague and the VTB, and against the dangerous Germans they are burning to get back to winning ways and not lose any more ground in their effort to qualify for the next phase of the competition. Trinchieri’s team does not exceed 75 points very easily this season in the competition since they have several dead intervals in their performance. They didn’t do it in Belgrade, where they got a big win, why would they do it in Russia?
Panathinaikos – Unicaja Malaga
Panathinaikos are in excellent condition and the Olympic Sports Center Athens looks like an impregnable fortress against much more difficult opponents than Unicaja Malaga. Despite this, the clash against the dangerous Spaniards will not be easy and hides several pitfalls. Especially in games where no one takes them into account, Plaza’s team can do the damage. The away win with the handicap (+8,5 at 1,75) is worth a shot on one of our bets.
Valencia – Olympiacos
From the game between Olympiacos and Valencia, we are going to focus on one player bet out of the numerous that are on offer. On the head-to-head between San Emeterio and Strelnieks (+0,5), it’s worth betting on the latter (1,70) since Vassilis Spanoulis’s presence might free up the Latvian even more, and he’s in excellent form anyway. Olympiacos’s captain makes his teammates better and, despite the fact that he takes on many shots, he creates the necessary spaces for the others to find open shots.
