Maccabi Tel Aviv just before the start of Euroleague season is celebrating its first trophy. Ok, it’s just the preseason Winner cup of Israel, however it’s a start. Playing without its newest member, newly signed forward Malcolm Thomas who is expected to make his debut in the Euroleague opener, the team of Tel Aviv beat Maccabi Ashdod in the final 75-65.
David Logan scored 24 points and was the top scorer of Maccabi Tel Aviv for the second straight game. In the semifinal win against Maccabi Haifa on Friday night (86-79), Logan scored 16 points. Of course, the former Panathinaikos‘ guard won the MVP award of the tournament and he seems ready to be the leader of Maccabi this season.
