The season in Siena started with a home defeat in Euroleague and as Murphy’s law goes, anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. The problem for the Italian team is the knee injury of center Benjamin Eze. As it was officially announced Eze returned to Siena from Tel Aviv due to his condition and nobody knows yet the gravity of his injury.
The club already found a replacement in the face of Austrian center Benjamin Ortner (photo), who was released earlier in the day by German team LTi Giessen and he is expected to sign a contract with Siena. The time frame of his deal with the Italian champions is not known yet and probably will be depended on the diagnosis of Eze’s problem.
Real Madrid also has an injury problem with point guard Sergio Llul who will miss the game against Khimki, due to a sprained ankle.
