Turkish basketball has many “representatives” in the NBA with the last one being Enes Kanter of Utah Jazz. Furkan Aldemir of Galatasaray may be the next one. The 21year-old forward-center has been one the “keys” of Galata’s success this season averaging 6,6 points and 4,8 rebounds in 15 contests in Euroleague. Being born in 1991 he will be draft eligible in 2013, but there is a chance he enters “early” this season.
Many NBA scouts have “followed” him this season, with Adam Filippi of Bobcats being the last one in the recent game between Olympiacos and Galata. Filippi also kept notes on Sloukas and Papanikolaou of Olympiacos who are automatically eligible for this year’s draft and have some chances for the 2nd round.
