EA7 Armani Milano traveled to Turkey without Greek center Yiannis Bourousis. The team of coach Sergio Scariolo is facing Anadolu Efes in a very crucial game that could play a huge part in the Top16 qualification and the absence of Bourousis is a big problem.
The second best scorer (15.6 ppg) and the top rebounder (7.4) of the Italian team was hurting in his knee and the medical exams revealed a bone bruise. It’s a tricky injury and the only way for it to heal is rest.
Nobody can accurately predict when Bourouris will be again 100% healthy and if he will miss more games. The only sure thing is that coach Scariolo – who has a contract until the summer of 2014, but his place isn’t secure – can’t use Bourousis in the immediate future, or he will have to play without being fully healed.
