Derrick Byars (photo) is the new American forward of Alba Berlin and he returns to his old team just in time for the crucial Euroleague game against Elan Chalon. A win in France can be the passport of Alba for Euroleague’s Top16.

In Croatia, just before the crucial game against EA7 Milano, coach Bozidar Maljkovic decided to resign from Cedevita. The reason behind this decision has to do with his disagreement with the management for a player. Officially there isn’t yet an explanation, but Marko Tomas seems to be on the center of everything.

UPDATE: According to Cedevita’s sport director Matej Mamic the team is shocked by the decision of Maljkovic and there is even the possibility of… suing him for damages. Also Mamic denied that there was any kind of incident with Tomas. Jaksa Vulic will be the interim coach of the team.
