The “divorce” between Gescrap and Bizkaia Bilbao is official. The team announced that the sponsoring deal with the multinational company ended after a mutual agreement. The initial contract between the two sides was valid until the summer of 2015, but due to global finanshial crisis Gescrap couldn’t afford it any more.
The negotiations between the two sides where in their final stages the last two days, as Eurohoops reported, and the new naming sponsor of the team is expected to be announced soon. The team’s main shareholder Gorka Arrinda (photo) is attending to the matter.
