Omar Cook had lost his position on EA7 Milano’s roster and it was just a matter of time for an other team to sign him. That team turned out to be Caja Laboral as it was officially announced. Cook has the tools and the experience to contribute immediately to his new team and the next question is if his fellow “exiled” from Milano, Richard Hendrix, will follow him in Vitoria.
On the contrary, Aron Baynes of Olimpija Ljubljana who was also a target of Caja Laboral and Maccabi Tel Aviv, will continue to play in Slovenia, at least for the moment. Neither Caja or Maccabi are willing to compensate Olimpija in order to buy out his contract, but still he was the top rebounder of Euroleague’s regular season, so nothing can be excluded.
