Just before Christmas Olympiacos announced officially the signing of Giorgi Shermadini who was released by Maccabi T.A. and he will be replaced by Croatian center Darko Planinic. Meanwhile Fener is in talks with Uros Tripkovic

Olympiacos and Maccabi Tel Aviv opened their Christmas gifts on Monday morning. The Reds announced officially the signing of Giorgi Shermadini until the end of the season with the team having an option to renew its contract for one more year.

Maccabi also announced the replacement of the Georgian center who is Croatian Darko Planinic. The player left Bosnian club Siroki and signed a contract until the end of 2014-15 season. So, he is a long term investment even though Maccabi would like to get some help from him immediately for the Euroleague Top16.

The second phase of the competition starts this week, the transfer clock is ticking and as Novost.rs has reported Fenerbahce/ Ulker is ready to sign Serbian sharp shooter Uros Tripkovic. According to Eurohoops sources the team was also in ongoing contact with Brad Oleson (Caja Laboral) and Shelden Williams (Élan Chalon).
