The regular season finished and two days before the start of the Top16, it’s the perfect time to… play by rebuilding your fantasy teams during Christmas. You should pay attention to the transfers and the changes that happened last week
It’s safe to build again your team with the top-5 ranking players, leaving behind of course Baynes, Schilb, Langford, Bourousis, who will not continue in the Euroleague. Four of them (Spanoulis, Brown, James, Nachbar) finished the regular season in Eurohoopsnet team and Khryapa comes back after one week.
All those players along with Lasme, cost 426,6 credits. So there are 180, 4 credits in order to buy four more players. At this point it’s more difficult to search for… hidden secrets or underrated players. Our bet for the first week of the Top16 is Josh Powell. He scores a lot having almost perfect percentages. If you… forget the game against Efes (2 pts with 1/5 2FG) he has almost 10 points per game with 17/22 shots. So, why not?
Real Madrid starts the Top16 games with easy games against Alba and Bamberg. So, Lull and Caroll are the best choices to have some points for sure. Also, Popovic is more mature than… ever and he has the chance to continue leading Zalgiris.

Point Guards
Bobby Brown 74,7 credits
He’s third in index rating, he is in excellent shape and seems that Maccabi will offer him the chance to run and shoot a lot.
Sergio Lull 51,5 credits
Real has two games against Alba and Brose Baskets in which the run ‘n gun game will be perfect. Lull is the best player for it and in Berlin he should play well.
Shooting Guards/Small Forwards
Vassilis Spanoulis 76,5 credits
Olympiacos’ captain is in great shape and in Vitoria he will be once again the leader. He has the best ranking among the players of the top 16 teams.
Bostjan Nachbar 67,5 credits
Brose Baskets qualified to the next round and Nachbar will mantain the bomber-role. He’s third scorer of the competition and has the ability to keep scoring 16,8 ppg.
Marko Popovic 51,5 credits
Zalgiris depends on him and in OAKA he should go well. He scores a lot and in his best season in his career he should keep improving.
Jaycee Caroll 48,6 credits
He’s in the middle of a good season and it’s expected to score a lot against Alba, in a game that both teams will focus on offense.
Power Forwards/Centers
Shawn James 70,6 credits
Since the moment Blatt trusted him as his starting center, he’s tremendous. Siena’s post defense is not the best, so James will have free space to do his job.
Viktor Khryapa 70,3 credits
He’s so steady that is a must choice for everyone. He plays a lot, scores, grabs rebounds, gives assists and sometimes steals balls. Who’s better?
Stephane Lasme 67 credits
Sofo is out, Gist signed just days ago and the only one who will play more than 25 minutes is Lasme. He dominates under the baskets and Zalgiris’ big guys can’t stop him above the rim.
Josh Powell 27,9 credits
In Vitoria he was excellent having a 16 ranking and Olympiacos side pick ‘n roll game with him is suitable for Caja again. He has the chance to fly like in the regular season’s game.
