Just one day after their first Top16 game, Brose Baskets announced the signing of Jeremiah Massey. The 30 years old American left Krasnie Krilya Samara after his temporary contract expired, but found a new and possibly better home, courtesy of the German champions.
However, he was registered in Euroleague one day after the start of the Top16 and that means that he will not be eligible to play to Europe’s top league until the 8th gameday of the Top16. There was a misunderstanding due to the fact that the club on its facebook account wrote that “Massey will play in Euroleague”, but it was never written that he could play immediately and the competition’s rules are clear on this subject. Of course, he can be used as soon as possible in the domestic league of Germany.
