When you have the chance to pick any player from the top 16 Euroleague teams and your first score is 126,7 something wrong happened. And eurohoopsnet team had one player with a negative ranking (Josh Powell) and three shooting guards/small forwards with a single digit ranking. Nachbar’s night against Unicaja is… acceptable because it’s rare for him, but in any other circumstances, Carroll and Popovic should leave the team. The… circumstances have to do with Shawn James who got injured and that’s why Carroll will get one more chance.
So, after all we have 144,4 credits available to search for two big guys and a perimener player, picking at least one cheap choice. This is Sasha Kaun, who will give a limit up of 5,1 credits with ranking +15 and his last games are close to it. So, 110,6 credits are left. The suitable duos in our mind were a lot (Panko & Thomson, Lampe &Mickael) but we chose to go with Rudy and Lorbek (photo). Both of them play to powerhouses that should win and win and win until the end and they have to show what they can really do at this point.
Also, pay attention to the last minute injuries. Many fantasy players can be trapped by picking Navarro just after his great performance against Real. So, be patient and make changes as closer to the games is possible.
Point Guards
Bobby Brown 75,9 credits (+1,23)
He will face Bo McCalebb, a player similar to him, but he can be a stud again. Brown is by far the first in field goals attempted (13,45 per game!) so the chance for him to shine in every game is absolutely to his hands.
Sergio Lull 55 credits (+3,55)
He’s in great shape and also the main reason that Real plays so well its typical transition game. It will be too difficult for Brose Baskets’ guards to stop him.
Shooting Guards/Small Forwards
Vassilis Spanoulis 75,7 credits (-0,8)
There isn’t even a though about selling him. Olympiacos should win easily Besiktas and the captain is just too hot to stop scoring and passing.
Rudy Fernandez 67,2 credits
Real is expected to score a lot and have big numbers against Brose Baskets. Rudy is its leader and it’s a great chance to bet on him because he should play always well during Top 16.
Bostjan Nachbar 63,5 credits (-3,97)
Against Unicaja he scored 10 points having 8/8 FT and 1/10 field goals. For the Slovenian forward that’s simple an… unacceptable number. Real’s defense isn’t so imposing, so Nachbar can do better.
Jaycee Caroll 47,4 credits (-1,2)
His choice wasn’t successful since he had ranking only 8,8 due to his poor shooting percentages (5/11 FG) and his… empty statistics. Against Brose Baskets he should help more.
Power Forwards/Centers
Viktor Khryapa 69,5 credits (-0,7)
He’s one of the few players who still has a double digit ranking in every game. Against Alba he can make it again.
Stephane Lasme 67,4 credits (+0,4)
He dominates under the baskets and even if Sofo is back, he is a solid choice for the front line.
Erazem Lorbek 43,5 credits
He hasn’t reached yet his last season’s standards but he’s the first scorer among Barcelona’s bigs and is expected to explode during Top 16.
Sasha Kaun 33,8 credits
He plays at least 17+ minutes during the last one and half month in the Euroleague and has 17 ranking per match during the last month. He’s cheap, a little underrated and appears as a very good pick among the big guys.
