The news were known from last week and on Wednesday Slovenian Ales Pipan was officially presented as the new coach of FYROM. The Slovenian technician will have the hard task to repeat at Eurobasket 2013 the stellar run of Bo McCalleb and company two years ago in Lithuania.

Pipan was in charge of Poland at Eurobasket 2011 and that’s the new job of former Bayern Munich coach and also German national team boss Dirk Bauermann, who has a far more illustrious resume in national team competitions and has connected his name with the presence of Dirk Nowitzki in the “Nationalmannschaft”, winning the silver medal in Eurobasket 2005.

Two national teams which are competing in the upcoming Eurobasket are left searching for a coach, Turkey and Great Britain, and the hunt for both jobs is still on.
