Eurohoops fantasy update for 16th week

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

Congratulations to Mazzzon, who had the biggest score in the Eurohoopsnet league last week and the third overall (231,4) in total. It was a tough week because the most expensive players didn’t produce big number, however Eurohoopsnet team had a good score (167,5 points).

The big question this week is: Will you leave your Real’s and CSKA’s players in your roster before their dogfight? And which one will you sell? Eurohoopsnet gives you an idea…

Mirotic was on the verge of leaving the team the last two weeks, but always there were more urgent needs. But before the game against CSKA, the most powerful team in the paint, he should go. The Montenegrin big guy had two bad games in the row and the Russians don’t allow any big guy to have big numbers, especially in the Top 16. These are the biggest ranking registered by CSKA’s opponents: Lima of Unicaja had a 12 ranking, Ksistof Lavrinovic of Zalgiris had 13, Zirbes of Bamberg 12, Miralles of Alba 8 , Gonlum and Erden of Efes 9. After all, is there any need to risk with Mirotic?

Also, Bostjan Nachbar seems to have lost his touch. After his tremendous ranking in Moscow against CSKA (36) he had bad games both in Euroleague and BEKO BBL. He will leave the team next to Mirotic. But who will be the third one? Farmar is a candidate, but it’s pity to sell someone so talented like he is. So, Viktor Sanikidze will say goodbye only one week after hearing “welcome”. He faces Barcelona on road and when you realize that Catalans’ opponents have an average ranking 59,2 in Palau Blaugrana, you understand that you did the right thing.

So, there are plenty of credits (168) to spend buying two top players and an average one. A great pick for everyone is Jamon Lucas of Efes who costs only 42,4 credits. Efes is doing very well and his average ranking in the last four game is 18,2! Also his all around game fits perfect to the needs of the encounter against Malaga.

When you have 125 credits for two big guys and have already Khryapa and James the only one who is attractive is Krstic. But, no! He’s too expensive and it’s wise to bet again on the tradition of Siena’s front line which lets its opponents to have big numbers. So, Ante Tomic is a very good choice. The last addition will be Macej Lampe of Caja Laboral. He will not have an easy work facing Khimki, but he’s so steady in the Top 16 that makes him a safe pick.

P.S. Giorgi Shermadini is a great cheap choice in big guys, but it makes no sense to buy a player that can give you a score around 17, but the same time… will reduce your credits by 4,7.

Point Guards
Jordan Farmar 61,3 credits (-2,1)
He had a poor score against Zalgiris but he’s in good shape and can have a good game in Malaga.

Milos Teodosic 58,35 credits (+2,15)
He’s in excellent shape and he’s still cheap. If a player has in Top 16 17,2 ppg and 5,2 apg, then you should not even think about him because he travels to Madrid.

Shooting Guards/Small Forwards
Vassilis Spanoulis 71,25 credits (+1,25)
Olympiacos must beat Fenerbahce and the captain will be once again the leader. Anything less than 17 in the ranking, will be a surprise.

Pete Mickeal 56,7 credits (+4)
Navarro will not play; Oleson is not eligible for the Euroleague games and Mickeal should have again a game like the last one against Caja Laboral.

Bojan Bogdanovic 52,5 credits (+4,7)
His worst game in the Top 16 was this one against Maccabi, when he scored 15 points and had a 14 ranking. He’s the second best scorer in the Top 16 and there is no worry for him. Even in SEF.

Jamon Lucas 42,4 credits
He fills all his statistical categories so much that even if he doesn’t score a lot, he has great score. Which is the biggest evidence? 8 points against Alba and 18 ranking. 10 points against Zalgiris and 20 ranking…

Power Forwards/Centers
Viktor Khryapa 78,1 credits (0)
He’s the second best in the ranking, has always scores more than 12 and he can make it against Real’s big guys.

Shawn James 74,3 credits (+0,1)
After his first two games in the season he always has a double digit ranking. Is it a coincidence? Of course, not! He should be the tower of every team in fantasy!

Ante Tomic 64,4 credts
His last game against Caja, was the only one in the Top 16 with so poor ranking (7). Against Siena (Ress is out) he should bounce back!

Macej Lampe 56,5 credits
The addition of last month’s MVP is just a move that delayed to be done! Someone who has 19,8 ranking in the Top 16, shouldn’t worry you a lot.
