Eurohoops fantasy update for 18th week

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

When you try to find out who from your players (Viktor Khryapa was the “sure” choice because he was injured) you will sell and you decide to get rid of Jamon Lucas who had a 24 ranking and Milos Teodosic who had a 27,5, something wrong happened. The additions were fine, but the damage was already huge…

Still, the weekly score (179,3) was good for our team. Of course, we couldn’t reach mstfkyn1990, who had 235,4 points, was first in Eurohoops league and second overall.

In this week the players who will leave the team without a lot of thought are Jordan Farmar, after his bad last games and Pete Mickeal because Navarro is back and he will has less chances to produce big numbers. The third one should be a big guy because Sasha Kaun is a burgain (Khryapa is out again and is too cheap). Between Mirotic and Lampe we decided to sell the second one only because he is more expensive by one credit (56,47 & 55,46).

So, after Kaun, we will buy two top-class players. It’s about time for Dimitris Diamantidis to lead Panathinaikos in Zalgirio Arena and for Rudy Fernandez to continue having great games against Alba at home.

Point Guards

Zoran Planinic 70,75 credits (+2)
He began his… career in Eurohoopsnet team by an impressive way. In the game against Besiktas (without Jerrells) he should shine again.

Dimitris Diamantidis 57,1 credits
Zalgiris keeps its opponents at home low, but Panathinaikos’ captain is always good in big games. The Greeks must win and DD will be among the best.

Shooting Guards/Small Forwards

Vassilis Spanoulis 72,9 credits (+2)
When you have a player with average ranking 16,9; only one game without double digit ranking and costs 72,9 credits, you should not even think about him. And if you don’t have him in your team, you should buy him!

Rudy Fernandez 69,4 credits
He was great in the last games against CSKA and in Istanbul, so he’s a must-choice from now on, as Real faces the Germans (Alba and then Bamberg).

Bojan Bogdanovic 60,45 credits (+8)
He faces Barcelona, the best defence on the road. So what? In his worst Top 16 game he had 14 ranking and in Palau Blaugrana 17. In Istanbul he can have at least the same numbers.

Marko Popovic 56,4 credits (+1,7)
His Top 16 games are excellent, Zalgiris plays a crucial game and the Croatian will be again the leader of his team.

Power Forwards/Centers

Shawn James 72,14 credits (0)
Eliyahu is still questionable. Siena’s big guys usually don’t dominate. So James is for one more week a solid choice.

Ante Tomic 69,2 credits (+1,2)
He’s impressive in Top 16 and Barcelona plays against Fenerbahce, a team that has average big guys in defense.

Nikola Mirotic 55,4 credits (-0,8)
His shot percentages aren’t so good lately, but against Alba he has the chance to come back.

Sasha Kaun 43,3 credits
He was the last week’s MVP and since Khryapa is still questionable, he will play a lot. He can produce again, although the game in Istanbul against Efes is really hard.
