Eurohoops fantasy update for 19th week

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

The rules of fantasy give you the chance to make three changes each week. But sometimes you don’t have to do it. Eurohoopsnet team participated with nine players last week because of Planinic’s last minute absence. We had 159,2 points with most of the players being the most expensive in their position. The team costs now 632,2 credits and Spanoulis, Rudy, Bogdanovic, James and Tomic belong to the “untouchable” players.

Also, Diamantidis and Mirotic are doing better and better, so we have to sell Planinic (he returned but in Palau Blaugrana things will be hard for him), Popovic who is not so steady and… Sasha Kaun, although he is one of our beloved player due to the points he offers but his low price. The Russian center is a great cheap choice, but he had back problems, Vorontsevich will come back and Khryapa continues to be doubtful. So, it’s safer to keep him away and pick a more solid choice.

In the point guard position Teodosic is the perfect player to come back. Also, McCalebb would be a good pick, but the Serbian guard is too hot now! In perimeter Jamon Lucas is in excellent shape and cheap, but Pete Mickeal can have big numbers again if Navarro will be out again. Nemanja Bjelica is our pick in the front line, because he is maybe the player who is more solid than anyone else in Baskonia.

Last but not least, for second week in row the winner in Eurohoopsnet league (EVICROCK with 214,7 points) was second overall!

Enjoy fantasy!

Point Guards

Milos Teodosic 63,2 credits
He’s by far the best player of CSKA in Top 16. He’s average score (18,8 per game) is fabulous and in front of two games against Germans is the right time to pick him.

Dimitris Diamantidis 57,6 credits (+0,6)
Panathinaikos plays against Efes a crucial match for the playoffs and the captain will be again the leader. He fills all his stats, so he had 15 ranking in Kaunas, although he had 4/11 shots.

Shooting Guards/Small Forwards

Vassilis Spanoulis 71,1 credits (-1,8)
Against Caja he gave only 9 points, but he was ill and played less than any other Euroleague game this season. In Istanbul is expected to be again the bomber of his team.

Rudy Fernandez 68,7 credits (-0,7)
His stability during Top 16 is a good reason to trust him for one more game. Bamberg allows its opponents to have 90,8 ranking in total (second worst after Fenerbahce) and he will help his teammates to reach that number.

Bojan Bogdanovic 61,1 credits (+0,6)
He has by far the best ranking in Top 16 (22,75 per game) and against Siena he has the chance to have one more great night.

Pete Mickeal 55,8 credits
Navarro is doubtful and whenever the captain is out, Mickeal is shining. So, here we have one more opportunity for… easy points.

Power Forwards/Centers

Shawn James 74,7 credits (+2,6)
He’s in great shape, has 19,1 ranking per game in Top 16 and in Baskonia the matchups are on his side.

Ante Tomic 69,5 credits (+0,3)
Khimki has one of the best front lines in the Euroleague. But Tomic can’t be afraid. He’s the best big guy in Top 16 after his opponent, Paul Davis (20,3 ranking) and his worst score (with one exception of a 7 in Baskonia) is 17. Pretty good, ah?

Nikola Mirotic 57,5 credits (+2,1)
The timing is perfect for him. We picked him last week, when he had a 21 score vs Alba and in the second home game in row (against Bamberg) he should be very good.

Nemanja Bjelica 50,2 credits
Maccabi’s front line has… gaps and lack of quality. The Serbian is in good shape and he’s one of the few cornerstones of his team in offence.
