The “Men in Black” from Bilbao are already in Eurocup’s semifinals and Nikos Zisis spoke about the big goal of his team in the Greek national radio: “We want to go all the way and win the Eurocup in order for Bilbao to return to Euroleague”.
Winning the Eurocup translates to C License in Euroleague, a one season contract, and Bilbao wants it, because, as Zisis admitted, it will be difficult for his team to challenge Barcelona and Real Madrid in Liga Endesa in order to get its Euroleague qualification through its domestic league: “It will not be easy to win the Eurocup, since at this point of the competition the level of the teams is similar to that of Euroleague and everything can happen. Still, we know that it is almost a dream for us to win the Spanish league, because of the presence of complete teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid. So, we want to win the Eurocup and finish in the top four spots of Liga Endesa”.
