The objection and the appeal of Olympiacos to Euroleague judges, requesting the replay of the Top16 home game against Siena were dismissed. However, the Reds are opening the case for a third time by filing an “urgent appeal” at the court of arbitration for sport, commonly known as CAS.
This is the first time a Euroleague team turns to CAS in order to settle a competition’s dispute. The hearing of Olympiacos, Euroleague and Siena’s arguments is scheduled for the 22 of March in Lausanne, Switzerland, and the decision is expected before the end of the month.
