After the disaster of last week, it’s time for the back court duo of Anantolu Efes, Jordan Farmar and Jamon Gordon to save the day by returning to our team. Also our “safe” choice in the paint is February’s MVP, Ante Tomic

When the winner of the week could hardly get more than 200 points, then last week was real bad (even the… great EVICROCK who leads the overall ranking in Eurohoops league had only 192 points). Eurohoopsnet team of course wasn’t the exception having only 115,1 points. And there is an explanation. Rudy was out, Teodosic had his worst ranking in the Euroleague during the last four years (-4) and Spanoulis had his second worst ranking (3) in his Olympiacos’ years. What’s worst? Despite these numbers, we have to trust these players and except Rudy who is questionable, they will stay in the team.

Next to Rudy, Lampe will leave because he hasn’t fulfilled our expectations. The third trade is a really tough decision. There aren’t good players in the “2-3” position, none of Krstic, Khryapa and Davis is under discussion, so we have to sell either Diamantidis or Teodosic. The Greek guard is excellent so far but Panathinaikos in Madrid will have a really tough game and Ukic is too aggressive lately, instead of DD. It’s a huge risk, but we will take it! We have 183,7 credits available and want to buy two really expensive players. The first one will be without question Jordan Farmar (photo), who is on fire! Also, our “cheap” move will be Jamon Lucas because he still offers great numbers in an excellent price. In centers, James is a little more expensive than we afford, so Tomic is our guy.

Enjoy fantasy!

Point Guards

Jordan Farmar 65,7 credits
Efes faces Zalgiris which has problems in its backcourt defense and the American will have probably an easy night. In any case he has a 20,5 average in his last four games.

Milos Teodosic 60,1 credits (-3,8)
His -4 last week is unacceptable, but there is still hope. Since November, when he… woke up, he has an average of 19,8 ranking in his seven on road games and 14,3 in Moscow. CSKA plays on road a crucial match. So?

Shooting Guards/Small Forwards

Vassilis Spanoulis 68,9 credits (-2,8)
It’s very rare for him to play in March like this. He should be better; Olympiacos needs him against Maccabi and for sure he’ll have more than his 3,3 in Siena.

Pete Mickeal 52,7 credits (-2,5)
The right decision was probably to say goodbye. But he played excellent against Caja in Euroleague and the ACB (23p. & 5 reb. and 13p. & 5 reb.) and in the desert of the 2-3 position he’s the best available choice.

Jamon Lucas 47,7 credits
He returns in the right moment to the team. Efes needs urgently the win in Kaunas, he does everything on the court and can exploit Zalgiris’ gaps in the perimeter.

Devin Smith 46,3 credits (+2,1)
Maccabi won four games in a row and he has 21,2 ranking pg in those wins. The game in SEF it will be tough for his team, but he’s too hot.

Power Forwards/Centers

Nenad Krstic 76,2 credits (+0,4)
Luka Zoric is in great shape and will be a tough opponent. But the Serbian center is such form that he doesn’t afraid none. His average ranking in the last 3 games is 24,3!

Viktor Khryapa 75 credits (0)
He came back in the action with a 17 ranking and the game in Malaga seems tailored for him. If he could also be more aggresive in scoring, he will smash the ranking score.

Ante Tomic 69,4 credits
Caja doesn’t suit him perfectly but he’s still in top form with 19 rpg in the Top 16, second behind Davis. He grabs rebounds and shoots perfectly (68%), so it’s a safe choice.

Paul Davis 67,7 credits (+0,5)
Fenerbahce’s defense in the paint is too bad (their opponents have 60% in 2ps in the Top 16), so Davis remains this week a must.
