The shooters can adapt to changes and that was proven also in Euroleague. Three season after the change of the three point line distance, the three point shooting percentage are the highest in the last nine years

Shooting has to do with technique, mechanism, mood, but mainly with habit. Three years after moving the three point line to 6,75 meters, the players in Euroleague have the best percentages of the last nine years!

After 23 weeks and a bigger sample of games than other season, players in total are shooting the three with a 36% efficiency, as each team having 7/20 3ps per game. The number is impressive, specially if you watch in the table below the improvement in every single year after 2010-11 season, when the distance changed.

This season’s 36% is the best ever percentage (along with the season 2007-08) in Euroleague since the 2004-05 season. That means the players adjusted their shots to the circumstances. So, even if the three point line goes even further (there was a thought as Eurohoops revealed here), they will probably adapt once again.
