Olympiacos and Barcelona are the only teams that never missed the quarterfinals series since 2005-06 onwards. The two European powerhouses qualify every season in the Top 8 and run an incredible record of eight straight years in the elite. Although the play offs series after the Top 16 established in the 2004-05 season, when both of them failed to play in the quarterfinals.
Next to them with 8 seasons among the Top 8 are three more teams (Caja Laboral, CSKA Moscow, Maccabi) but none of them have such great record in successful season in row. Panathinaikos has qualified to the quarterfinals seven times and Real Madrid five. All the other teams that follow (Siena, Partizan, Efes) have qualified to the quarterfinals less than four times.
