Pops Mensah-Bonsu traveled to Italy after leaving Spanish club Cajasol, his initial destination was Varese, but finally he signed with EA7 Armani Milano which needed a player after the latest injury of Greek center Giannis Bourousis.
As for Varese, the new player of the team is power forward Dejan Ivanov who is leaving Lietuvos Rytas, after new coach Dirk Bauermann made clear that he doesn’t count on him. It will be interesting to see how things will play out, since Varese is the leader in Legabasket’s standings and EA7 Armani Milano started the season with the highest ambitions, but until know hasn’t fulfilled them.
