Ettore Messina gave a really interesting interview in Russian newspaper “Sport express” about his future and the future of CSKA Moscow. The Italian coach confirmed that he had negotiations with the Turkish national team, however there will be no deal: “I will not coach the team. We had some negotiations but they have been terminated”.
The Italian mastermind also revealed that CSKA is going to play some exhibition games against the San Antonio Spurs before the start of the season and while speaking about retired Theodoros Papaloukas, he said that the Greek can be a good coach in the near future: “I guess he will rest for one or two seasons and spend time with his wife. I do not exclude the possibility of him returning to basketball, he has the ability to be a very good coach or manager”.
