As Eurohoops reported last week, the champions of Ukraine Budivelnyk Kiev are already preparing for next season’s Euroleague taking the spot of Roma. As we have wrote before, two more wildcards are expected to be given and the chosen teams according to the Italian well respected newspaper “Gazzetta Dello Sport” are Bayern Munich (photo) from Germany and French finalist Strasbourg.
Especially Bayern can’t be considered a surprise, since the club is the biggest sports brand in Germany , one of the most important brands in Europe and also a emerging basketball powerhouse. Strasbourg is also a team with ambitions, having in its bench the French national team coach Vincent Collet and former NBAer Alexis Ajinka in its roster.
