The signing of Brent Petway by Olympiacos headlines Thursday’s Euroleague transaction, as also the news of Juan Carlos Navarro needing ankle surgery and missing the upcoming Eurobasket in order to get ready for the season

Brent Petway is the first new face in Euroleague champions Olympiacos‘ roster. The former player of AGOR after two good seasons in the Greek league made the big step to the next level. Petway is expected to share the minutes in the power forward position with Giorgos Printezis and also was in German champions Brose Baskets’ radar.

In France, champions Nanterre announced that local hero Trent Meacham will stay with the team for one more season and will make his Euroleague debut. In Germany, Bayern Munich announced the signing of Lucca Staiger from Ludwigsburg with a two seasons deal. However, the news from Barcelona concerning Juan Carlos Navarro turned heads all around Europe. The leader of the team will have an ankle surgery at the 19th of July, will stay out of the courts for two months and will miss the upcoming Eurobasket.

In Eurocup, Ratiopharm Ulm from Germany announced the signing of Adam Hess to a two year deal. The 32 years old Hess comes from Phoenix Hagen.
