The negotiations have been stopped, CSKA entered the picture, but that proved to be momentarily. Stephan Lasme and Panathinaikos continued to have contacts without making a fuss about it and today the official announcement come in classic Green fashion.
“Panathinaikos BC announces the deal with athlete Stephan Lasme for the next two years”, reads the laconic text of the press release and it seems that the Greeks’ wishes were accepted. According to multiple sources, the final deal will pay the Gabonese center something less than 2 million dollars for the next two years.
It seems that Panathinaikos retained the player with a final offer really close to the first one they gave him (1,8 m. dollars), while Lasme had to back down from his demands.
