Like father, like son? Not, every time, but it’s not uncommon. After all, genes and environmental influences are all that matter… And young Tamir seems to have everything. In a few years we will know if he will reclaim them in such level as to look like his father.
David Blatt can be already proud for his son who was named MVP of the junior Cup Final in Israel, achieving an impressive triple double.
Tamir Blatt is 15 years old, has a height of 1.78 m and for first time turned so strong the spotlight on him. He plays to Hapoel Lev Hasharon and in the final against Maccabi Petah Tikva (81-69) had 15 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, while most of his opponents were a year older.
His father found a little time between Maccabi’s practices in front of the fifth match against Panathinaikos, watched the final and after the end of the game, came into the field, embraced Tamir giving him compliments.
Maccabi’s coach hadn’t such a great career as a player, but as a coach. His son, however, seems to have the material… to overcome him. He has the best role model and everything is up to him…
