Maccabi Tel Aviv wanted Sofo back and despite some rumors of coach David Blatt having second thoughts about him, the deal is now official. Sofoklis Schortanitis after being released by Panathinaikos, returns to Maccabi Tel Aviv and the surprising detail is the fact that he signed a three years deal.

His replacement in the Green roster is Loukas Mavrokefalidis, who was in advanced negotiations with Olympiacos. The Greek forward was also a target of Fenerbahce/ Ulker, but the Turkish team never made an offer to him. Mavrokefalidis signed a two years contract which will pay him in total 1,5 million euros. Τhe last offer of Olympiacos was 1,3 million euros.

Also, Banvit which is preparing for the Euroleague qualification round announced the signing of veteran Turkish center Cevher Ozer and in Eurocup, Alba Berlin added small forward Reggie Redding and Mons Hainaut has a contract with local player Alex Tuluka who returns in Belgium after five seasons in the States.
