Monday started with a storm of announcements in Euroleague and Eurocup. Jaycee Carroll extended his contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2017. The 30 years old sharp shooter is one for the key player of the team. Budivelnik Kiev of Ukraine added 39 years old Leonid Yailo with one year deal. Yailo have been among others a member of Olympiacos, Unics Kazan and Reggio Calabria and played for the first time in Budivelnik almost 20 years ago in 1994. Also Nymburk from Czech Republic, which will compete in the qualifying round, signed Rasid Mahalbasic from Asseco Prokom Gdynia.
In Eurocup, Artland Dragons lured back in Germany David Holston who played last season in Mersin of the Turkish league. Belgium’s Mons Hainaut inked guard Demontez Stitt to one year contract and Maccabi Haifa, champions of Israel, found a new coach in the face of 39 years old Danny Franco.
