Two times Euroleague champion with Olympiacos Pero Antic is ready to be the first player from FYROM who will play in the NBA. As his agent Misko Raznatovic announced, 31 years old Antic will sign a two-year contract with the Atlanta Hawks after being medically examined by the team.
Antic was not in Olympiacos‘ plans for next season and he had some very lucrative offers from European teams, but he decided to get the league minimum by the Hawks in order to have the chance to live the NBA experience and become the first player from his country in the American pro league. During his career Antic has been a member of Rabotnicki, AEK Athens, Red Star Belgrade, Academic Sofia, Lokomotiv Kuban, Spartak St. Petersburg and Olympiakos and he has won domestic titles in FYROM, Greece, Serbia, Burlgaria and Russia.
