It was reported the last few days and on Saturday afternoon it became official. Maciej Lampe left Laboral Kutxa for Barcelona. The 28 years old player signed a two years deal with an option for a third one and of course his old team was paid by Barca in order to release him.
However, it remains to be seen what the role of Lampe will be in Barca’s front line which includes in the center position All Euroleague Ante Tomic and former Euroleague champion with Olympiacos Joey Dorsey. In theory Lampe can be used also as a power forward. If Barcelona finds a formula to take advantage of all this talent, then probably the best center trio in Europe was just created.
