Mike Batiste will wear green again. After a season in Fenerbahce/ Ulker he returns to Panathinaikos by signing a 250.000 dollars one year deal. “We have said some days ago that our roster was completed, but the enemy of good is the best”, said Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos for this transfer and he also emphasized the fact that the long time agent of the player Nikos Lotsos wasn’t a part of the negotiations – calling him the “ex-agent” of Batiste.
The player himself said: “This is what I wanted! Panathinaikos, Athens, they are my home. I can’t wait to return. I want to help Panathinaikos, I will have to work hard and I will do what the team needs me to do. I will not have any problem staying on the bench”. With Batiste signing, Panathinaikos already has seven non Greek player and one of them can’t be used in Greek league games.
