It was rumored for a long time and finally it become official. Carlos Suarez left Real Madrid and signed a two-year deal with Unicaja Malaga. It will be interesting to see him with an expanded role next season in Liga Endesa and also in Euroleague. An other player with vast Euroleague experience, Croatian guard Marko Popovic signed a two years deal with Khimki, replacing an other Croatian guard, Zoran Planinic, and will compete with his new team in the qualifying round.

Suarez’s opponent in last Euroleague Final, Giorgi Shermadini left Olympiacos for CAI Zaragoza where he signed a one year deal and he is expected to be the starting center of the team. He will play in Eurocup and that applies also to 35 years old Demond Mallet who returned to Belgium and in Eurocup after getting a contract by Spirou Charleroi. Also in Eurocup, Besiktas announced the signing of rookie Ryan Broekhoff from Valparaiso University.
