Mike Batiste landed at “El. Venizelos” airport of Athens at midnight of the 14th of August and he was anything but tired. He never stopped laughing and showing how happy he feels now he is Green again.
“There is no place like home. I am so glad I am back at Panathinaikos. This team, this country… I always said that this is my second home and that was the main reason I am back. I always felt Panathinaikos was my second home. The previous season wasn’t easy for me, so I am really happy I am here again. If I have some regrets I left the past summer? No. But now I am here and I think only the present and the future. Not the past. I want to live the moment”.
On a question about Diamantidis he said “I love playing with Dimitris and I am looking forward to meet him. Panathinaikos has too many good players. I have always paid a great respect to the guards and I cannot wait to meet everybody, next week”.
