Lucas high on the list

Zalgiris made its plans for next season according to a very tight budget after the Romanov era. The Lithuanian club has managed to keep its core of local players, which was the main goal from the start of the summer and their next moves are focused in adding an American guard and one more small forward to help Martynas Pocius.

As the management is also trying to convince Sarunas Jasikevicius to return to his home country, the Lithuanian legend is thinking about it, but he still waits for a better offer from a team that will be a contender in Euroleague. If that doesn’t happened, then Saras will probably sign with Zalgiris and will be paired with an American point guard with Kalin Lucas being among the top candidates for the job.

The former Spartan come to Europe back in 2011 for Olympiacos, but he was replaced by Acie Law and signed with Turkish club Banvit, where he played until the end of the last season. Lucas is trying to get a chance in the NBA, but Zalgiris is also in contact with him. The last roster spot which is expected the be filled will be the addition of a small forward, probably from the European market.
