The last empty spot in Unicaja’s roster was in the power forward position where Hummel and Nelson were among the candidates until some days ago. Nick Caner-Medley was offered to the Spaniards with less than half of salary he got from Maccabi. The Israelis wanted to release him, so Malaga found the best solution for everyone by signing him.
But Joan Plaza forced to search again the market of the big guys after the departure of Kuzmic for the Golden State Warriors, move that brought 800.000 euros to Malaga. In the top of his shortlist are Ali Traore and then Levon Kendall. Unicaja will try to finish as soon as possible these cases.
