It was a common secret that the deal between Nik Caner Medley and Unicaja Malaga was done, on Thursday the player himself confirmed it via twitter and then the official announcement was made. The American big man after a mediocre season in Maccabi Tel Aviv – which paid him almost half his 900 USD contract for the 2013-14 season in order to release him – will have the chance to play again in Euroleague and prove what he can do.
On the contrary, Bayern Munich announced that Jared Homan was released and the same happened in Barcelona with Xavi Rabaseda, a player who was a product of the club’s junior teams.
In Eurocup, Belgian club Spirou Charleroi made official on Wednesday the addition of big man Darryl “Mookie” Watkins, champion of Bulgaria last season with Lukoil Academic. Also, Ratiopharm Ulm signed Greg Mangano to a two months contract with the team retaining the option to keep Mangano for the season and Roma added rookie center Trevor Mbakwe.
