Roma which will be competing in Eurocup next season, waited for the end of the summer in order to get the most favorable deals possible and now the Italian club is adding players who have proved that they belong to the high level of European basketball. The team announced the signing of Jimmy Baron, Eurocup winner with Lokomotiv Kuban, who was also in Valencia‘s radar in order to replace an other sharp shooter Thomas Kelati.
In Turkey, as Turkbasket reported via twitter Anadolu Efes is about to release Estaban Batista and Pinar Karsiyaka which will also participate in Eurocup, has already a deal with him. It was a well known fact since the start of the summer, that Efes wanted to build a new team and Batista wasn’t a part of their plans. And there is a very interesting rumor coming from Greece. Panionios’ center Vasilis Kavadas (photo) who has an impressive showing in the training camp of the national team may end up signing a contract with Unics Kazan, under Andrea Trinchieri who is also the Greek NT coach. Both clubs are also preparing for the upcoming Eurocup.
