Two important signings were announced on Friday with Eurocup’s Nizhny Novgorod stealing the show from Euroleague’s Zalgiris Kaunas. The Lithuanian club added in its roster American guard Justin Dentmon, MVP of the NBADL back in 2011-12 season. Last year he played in China, Puerto Rico, NBADL and also two games with Dallas Mavericks
However, Russian club Nizhny Novgorod impressed everyone by signing Luke Babbitt, a free agent from the Portland Trail Blazers. The 24 years old forward comes to Europe in order to improve his game and also prove himself by getting a pivotal role next season in his new team. Also in Eurocup, Union Olimpija announced the signing of 18 years old Croatian playmaker Paolo Marinelli, one of the best European players of his generation.
In Euroleague, Italian champions Siena announced the signing of Jeff Viggiano and also the extension of Tomas Ress‘ contract until the summer of 2015. Ress will be the new captain of the team.
