Roko Leni Ukic’s medical exams after the Eurobasket were a shock to Panathinaikos. The Croatian guard is hurt in both Achilles tendons – the right one is the more severe case – and he will need 1,5 half month of rest in order to return to action.
The Greens are not hiding their displeasure about the way Ukic was used by the Croatian national team, specially in the semifinal against Lithuania and the 3rd place game against Spain, as he played heavy minutes on those two game despite being in pain. The player’s condition will be reevaluated next week, but the Greens are preparing for the start of the Euroleague and also the 1st game of the Greek league against Olympiacos on the road, without counting on him.
