Just hours after him arriving to Kaunas, Sarunas Jasikevicius signed his one year contract with the team and was presented to the media. As the 37 years old guard said: “I can finally play for my hometown club, which I cheered for as a kid”. The legendary play maker decided not to retire and will try to help Zalgiris in the quest of the team to remain respectable despite a limited budget. Arvydas Sabonis himself was a decisive factor to his decision.

In Greece, a former team of Jasikevicius, Panathinaikos is thinking about adding a player after the injury of Roko Leni Ukic. Serbian guard Stefan Markovic who is still without a team is on the forefront at this point, however the Greeks are still exploring the market.
