German champions Brose Baskets found a temporary replacement for Novica Velickovic. While the Serbian forward will work individually in his physical condition for the next two months, Croatian Damir Markota will get his place in the team’s rotation after signing a 3 months contract. Markota who played last season in Besiktas, is coming after a respectable Eurobasket tournament, in which he was an important member of the Croatian national team.
Not only Velickovic, but also Adam Hanga will miss the start of the season and the first Euroleague games. The new member of Laboral Kutxa will need two more months in order for his knee to be completely healed after the surgery he had in the start of the summer.
