Oklahoma City Thunder is opening the NBA pre season in Istanbul and Eurohoops was there in their practice. Kevin Durant and his teammates decided to use the gym of Besiktas and not Ulker Arena, where the game it will be played on Saturday, in order to avoid the city’s notorious traffic. Durant knew the court really well, because the same gym was used for the practices of Team USA back in 2010 world championship.

One of the highlights of the night was Serge Ibaka making his mid range shots, proving his summer work in that part of his game.

Also, Derek Fisher still got it.

The practice ended with coach Scott Brooks showing some drills about defensive close out and in the end he said: “Who is our worst defender?” Nobody answered so he did: “Jeremy Lamb”. He called the sophomore player in the court and Lamb responded to the challenge, by blocking a shot in the last play. After alla, Brooks asked his players to run. Everyone hugged Lamb in the end, Brooks smiled and that was the – movie like – end.
