After the shocking turn of events that lead to the resignation of Lithuanian federation president Arvydas Sabonis and national team coach Jonas Kazlauskas, things are changing once more. As “Lietuvos Rytas” reports, Sabonis and Kazlauskas are ready to return to their position and secretary general Mindaugas Balciunas is expected to leave the federation.
In their last press conference, Sabonis and Kazlauskas have spoken about “intrigues” and lack of respect by the media. Some days latter, however, Kazlauskas admitted that they couldn’t coexist with Balciunas who is a controversial figure and has been accused in the past for embezzlement and one can assume that after all he is the cause of the “intrigues”.
