The Euroleague world tour concluded in China, as last season’s finalsts Real Madrid prevailed over Beijing Ducks 96-82. It was a competitive game decided by the trio of Jaycee Carroll (14 p.), Sergio Rodriguez (13 p.) and Tremmel Darden (11 p.) in the last period.
For the hosts, Randolph Morris was the top scorer with 28 points and former NBA All Star Stephon Marbury added 25 points. In total, Euroleague teams had a 4-1 record in their world tour games, as CSKA Moscow beat Minnesota Timberwolves and was defeated by the San Antonio Spurs, while defending champion Olympiacos conquered the intercontinental cup against Brazilian club Sky Pinheiros.
Also, on the 13th of September, Greek champion Panathinaikos played in China against Foshan Long Lions and got the 67-66 win in a game that wasn’t held under the shield of Euroleague.
