Reds waiting Greens in the Greek Finals

It was business as usual on Saturday in Greek League semifinal play offs for Olympiacos, but not for Panathinaikos. The team of coach Dusan Ivkovic won at Panionios home court by 21 points (87-66) and qualified to the finals with a sweep (3-0). Forward Giorgos Printezis with 17 points was the first among equals in the scoring for the winners. For Panionios, experienced American guard Billy Keys tried his best with 18 points.

The upset of the day happened in the afternoon in Rhodes. Kolossos beat Panathinaikos 73-68 (1-2) in a game that was decided in the last four minutes. Greek guard Nikos Liakopoulos with 17 points was the top scorer of Kolossos who also got 13 points from former Panathinaikos guard Giorgos Kalaitzis. “Our mind was not in the court, we were not focused”, said after the game coach Zeljko Obradovic.
