Lucentum Alicante was not a match for Barcelona. Coach Xavi Pascual’s team proved for one more game that it’s reaching its top form by winning away from home 83-57. The two small forwards of the Barca, Chuck Eidson and Pete Mickael with 13 points each were the top scorers for the winners. After this result Barcelona is still sitting on top of the Spanish league standings (27-5) and hosts Real Madrid, the second team in the standings (25-7), in the next game day.
CSKA Moscow qualified to the Russian League Finals after swiping Lokomotiv Kuban in Krasnodar (2-0). The final score (78-72) is misguiding. The home team trailed by 19 points after the end of the third quarter (62-43) but then CSKA relaxed and that’s why the final deficit for Lokomotiv was just six points. CSKA will compete for its domestic championship against the winner of the semifinal series Khimki – Triumph that will start in the 3rd of May.
