Just hours before the big game of Partizan against Crvena Zvezda for Adriatic league, the worst case scenario for Leo Westermann was confirmed by himself via twitter. The anterior cruciate ligaments on his knee are torn and practically that means he is missing the season. As he wrote “horrible news, but I will have to deal with”. What makes things worst is that Westermann was injured on the same knee two years ago.
Two more Euroleague teams are having also new injuries woes, as Stephan Lasme of Panathinaikos and Sergiy Gladyr of Nanterre are hurt. Both of them are expected to miss this week’s game, Panathinaikos will make an official announcement about the condition of its center tomorrow after new medical examination and Gladyr is expected to return in action after December.
