The return of Novica Velickovic to action after his two months individual effort to get back into shape, created a domino around Europe. Brose Baskets decided to release Croatian Damir Markota and also added in their roster D’Or Fisher. The experienced American forward played last year in Donetsk, Ukraine, and tried his last before the start of the season in Washington Wizards‘ training camp.
As for Markota, he is expected to continue his career in Cedevita Zagreb, one of the top teams in Adriatic league and also a Eurocup participant. Meanwhile in Ukraine, according to numerous reports Euroleague participant Budivelnyk signed NBA veteran Daequan Cook, winner of All Star Game 2009 shoot out contest, for a try out.
