Panathinaikos beat Kolossos in Rhodes and now the Euroleague title holders can prepare for the Istanbul Final Four without any other game distracting them from their goal to repeat what they did last year in Barcelona

Panathinaikos got the job done in Rhodes. The Greens beat 74-66 feisty Kolossos and with 3-1 wins qualified to the Greek League Finals, where Olympiacos is waiting for them after his sweep against Panionios.

Ian Vougioukas was the top scorer of Panathinaikos (17 points) and he covered the best he could the absence of injured All Euroleague nominee Mike Batiste. “I am sure that Mike will be ready for the Euroleague Final Four”, said after the game Vougioukas.

Coach Zeljko Obradovic was satisfied by his team and talked about the rumors concerning the possible sale of Panathinaikos in Russian energy companies: “I don’t know what exactly is happening with the Russians, but I hope that I will learn in the next days. We want to know if all those rumors are true or not. We hope that we will have a better image for all that, before the team goes to Istanbul”.
